Bassig will also be charged administratively for allegedly bringing his service firearm inside the 1025 KTV bar. SPO2 Ronaldo Correa of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Galas police station said the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday inside the bar at the corner of Araneta Avenue and E. 11 teenagers picked up by cops
Eleven teenagers were arrested at dawn Tuesday for carrying unlicensed guns and knives after a riot in Caloocan City in which a man was allegedly killed. Also seized by police were a wooden paddle wrapped with electrical tape and a metal tube measuring about 18 inches long which police believed was used in hazing rites. ?The youth were arrested after reports from residents in the area of an earlier riot where a man was supposedly killed,? Chief Insp. Cresencio Galvez, head of the Caloocan police?s intelligence division, said. He added that those arrested were aged 18 and below. ?We have been receiving reports about frequent riots and we had the area under surveillance for some time,? Galvez said. ?They belong to a group which has been at odds for quite some time with another group,? he added. The minors who were arrested would be turned over to the social welfare department while the older ones would remain in police custody, he said. Nancy C. Carvajal
