Motorcade and birthday cake

March 2, Malabon

9 a.m.- Teodoro arrives on C-3 Road in Malabon and meets up with Malabon Mayor Canuto Oreta, former Malabon-Navotas representative Ricky Sandoval, and former Metro Manila Development Authority chair Prospero Oreta. From atop the back of a light truck where he stands with senatorial candidates Raul Lambino and Rey Langit, he waves to the crowd as the motorcade wends its way through narrow Tañong Street.

11 a.m.- The Lakas-Kampi team gets off in front of Barangay Concepcion public market, forays into the wet market, and takes time to chat with vendors. At a corner, Teodoro stops for an ambush interview by reporters before he makes his way to a covered court.

He goes up a makeshift stage with his party. The candidates take turns in addressing the crowd. In his speech, Teodoro thanks the Malabon residents for lending a helping hand to residents in other parts of Metro Manila devastated by Typhoon ?Ondoy? last year.

12 noon- Teodoro and his team resume their motorcade and make a final stop at a slum area, Paradise Village, in Barangay Tonsuya. With some residents, they sit down to ?a boodle fight? of adobong manok, itlog na pula and kamatis laid on banana leaves.

1 p.m.- The party proceeds to Pescadores restaurant. Teodoro addresses supporters of Sandoval and Mayor Oreta, and stresses that the first order of the day for the next RP president is to gather political leaders to draw up a roadmap to reconciliation.

2 p.m.- Teodoro and his team rush back to their vehicles for a motorcade to Caloocan City.

March 3, Batasan Park, Quezon City

5 p.m.- QC Rep. Annie Susano cheers with the 4,000-strong crowd mostly made up of children and their mothers.

?Gusto ba natin ang magaling? (Do we want someone capable?)

Crowd: ?Opo! (Yes)?

?Gusto ba natin ang matalino? (Do we want someone intelligent?)?

Crowd: ?Opo!?

?Galing at talino! Yan si Gibo Teodoro! (Capable and intelligent! That?s Gibo Teodoro)?

The crowd cheers. A modest, one-layer cake is brought out.

?This is for the woman who is very important to me and my son,? Gibo says in Filipino. ?We are here to celebrate her birthday with you?because you are also important to her.?

Upon the prodding of Susano and show biz celebrity Dawn Zulueta, the crowd breaks into the ?Happy Birthday? song.

Nikki blows the candles and turns to her husband, who kisses her. The crowd cheers again.
