Spain’s two major political parties, the pillars of a democratic system re-born after the 1975 death of General Francisco Franco, face an historic crisis as they battle popular distrust in the face of corruption scandals and recession, analysts say.

500 Myanmar ‘swim’ into Malaysia, one dead

About 500 Myanmar nationals swam the last 500 meters to enter Malaysia illegally at the end of a 15-day boat journey at the weekend, leaving one dead, police said Tuesday.
