CEBU CITY, Philippines ? Angelica Aznar-Sierra has asked the court to hold Gerald Stevens in contempt for defying the court?s order for him to stop publishing ?malicious? and ?vulgar? messages against her online.

Sierra presented to Judge Douglas Margomen her sister-in-law who saw the publications last Monday.

Izarzuri Ouano-Sierra told the court that Stevens? malicious publications can still be seen on Steven?s Friendster web log.

She also presented a print-out of the site.

Stevens, actress Amalia Fuentes? son, was issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) by the court on February 27 against publishing or sending ?malicious, defamatory, insulting and vulgar? messages online.

Eddie Barrita, one of Steven?s counsels, told the court that anyone can create a blog with malicious messages against anyone online.

Stevens, through his Manila-based lawyer Emiliano Bantog, stated in his answer to the complaint of Angelica that he never sent or wrote anything to the complainant using his Friendster account.

The 23-page answer with counterclaim further stated that Stevens did not call Sierra at her office.

Aside from asking for the dismissal of the case for utter lack of merit, Stevens asked P1 million for moral and exemplary damages against Sierra for filing the alleged baseless and malicious complaint.

He also asked another P500,000 for litigation and attorney?s fees.

Stevens also stated that the case should be dismissed because of wrong venue.

He said the case should have been filed either at the Pasig City or Quezon City court where he and the complainant reside. /Reporter Nilda L. Gallo
