CEBU CITY, Philippines–A lone robber armed with a knife entered the house of Cebu Provincial Board member Julian Daan in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City, Cebu at 9:50 a.m. Monday and stole close to P1-million worth of jewelry and P300 in cash.

Daan, a radio personality more popularly known as Teban, was inside his house typing a script for his radio drama show when an assailant, whose face was covered, poked a knife at his neck and asked for money.

Daan, however, informed the suspect that he only had P300 cash but the suspect did not believe him and continued to threaten him with the knife.

Daan was forced to turn over the jewelry he and his wife owned worth almost P1 million to the robber, who fled after the incident.

“He seemed to have an idea that I am in my house during this time and he knows me because he didn’t believe that I got P300 cash with me since I am a board member,” Daan said in a local radio interview.
