DIGOS CITY - A German national was found dead inside a resort he was managing in Barangay Dawis here around 4:30 a.m., Monday.

Chief Inspector Anthony Padua, city police director, identified the victim as Klaus Thomas Urbańez, 57, married and residing at Purok Lapu-lapu in the said village.

Padua said investigation disclosed that the victim had been drinking with another German national, Michael Plabusch, and could have fallen onto a newly constructed sewer and drowned.

Arlyn Calvarado, caretaker of Shark beach resort, found the victim, he said.

Padua said they were investigating the incident to determine if there was foul play.
