MANILA, Philippines—Police in Laguna province arrested six people who were allegedly caught in the act of using illegal drugs, the provincial police chief said on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Manolito Labador said the suspects were arrested during a raid at Sitio (sub-village) Umboy, Barangay (village) San Antonio in Binan town at 2:30 a.m., based on information gathered that there was an ongoing pot session in the area.
Labador identified those arrested as Edgardo Makiling, Marlon Catapia, Roberto Vicente, Ricardo Garcia, Richard Pesuena, and Gerald Arcillas.
Also seized during the raid were aluminum strips and other illegal drugs paraphernalia.
Labador said the six were brought to the regional crime lab for drug examination.
