MANILA, Philippines – A 38-year old woman escaped from her captors in South Cotabato province Tuesday night, the provincial police chief said on Wednesday.

Jamiah Pamilar Tacuyan was able to jump from the motorcycle as she was being taken to Columbio, Sultan Kudarat by unidentified men, said Senior Superintendent Nilo Wong.

Wong said Tacuyan was forcibly taken from her home in Barangay (village) Polonuling, Tupi town at around 10:30 p.m.

Two suspects gained entry into the victim’s residence by destroying the bamboo fence.

At present, Tacuyan has returned to her residence as police were still investigating the incident, Wong said.
