MANILA, Philippines—A 5.4 magnitude earthquake rocked Davao Oriental Wednesday and was felt in 11 cities and towns in Mindanao, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake's, which was tectonic in origin, happened at 2:22 pm Wednesday and its epicenter was located 78 km northeast of Mati, Davao Oriental, Phivolcs said in its report posted on its website.
Intensity 3 was felt in Davao City, Tagum City, and Taguna, Davao Oriental, Phivolcs said.
Meanwhile, intensity 2 was felt in: Bislig City; General Santos City; Kidapawan City; Digos City; Cateel, Davao Oriental; Padada, Davao del Sur; Carrascal, Surigao del Sur and; Kabacan, North Cotabato.
No damages were reported, Phivolcs said.
