MANILA, Philippines – An official of a Masbate town was shot dead by unidentified suspects outside his home Thursday evening, a police spokesman said on Friday.
Michael Sivelleno, Sangguniang Bayan member of Placer town, was in his yard in Pasiagon village in the same town when he was approached by two suspects and shot several times at around 6:30 p.m., said Inspector Ayn Natuel, spokesman of Bicol region police.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds that resulted to his death, Natuel said.
Recovered from the crime scene were 10 empty shells from a caliber .45 pistol.
