MANILA, Philippines— Laguna police have arrested three men for alleged pilferage of equipment from an industrial park in the province, a police official said on Wednesday.
Arrested were Harold Joseph Reyes, Ronald Bohol, and Edilberto Soliven for illegally selling electric static sensitive device to an undercover police agent during an entrapment operation, said Senior Superintendent Manolito Labador, provincial police chief.
The three were arrested at 2:45 p.m. in Lot 5, Block 13 in Rosario Avenue, San Pedro town. Also seized were 16 packs of the device owned by Atmel Corporation and marked money amounting to P250,000.
Labador said the three were believed to be members of a syndicate stealing equipment in industrial parks in the area.
Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects, as the province strives to be business and tourist friendly, he said.
