ILOILO CITY, Philippines--Robbers killed an Australian businessman inside his home in Ajuy town in Iloilo early Tuesday.
Werner Holz, 62, died of multiple stab wounds inside his bedroom, Senior Supt. Ricardo de la Paz, the Iloilo provincial police director, said in a telephone interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Tuesday.
Holz's Filipino wife Vivian Posadas-Holz was left tied up inside their bedroom by at least three robbers who took cash and jewelry, according to Dela Paz.
The couple has been living in Ajuy for more than 10 years and are engaged in various businesses.
