SAN PEDRO, Laguna—(UPDATE) Two mini buses plying the Zapote-Cavite route was burned allegedly by a relative of the bus owner early Thursday morning in Noveleta town, Cavite, a police official said.
Chief Inspector Ma. Susana de Lara, chief of the Noveleta police, said in a phone interview that bus owner Josefina Reyes reported the burning of the vehicles at around 4 a.m.
De Lara said the relative of Reyes, whose identity she did not divulge, was the primary suspect in the burning and said it was a case of "family feud."
No one was reportedly hurt in the incident, which is still being investigated by police and fire officials.
