MANILA, Philippines—A 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck off Davao del Sur at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The undersea tremor was located 115 kilometers southeast of General Santos City at a depth of 116.2 kilometers.
The Philippines sits on the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where continental plates collide causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
