CEBU CITY, Philippines - A man was stabbed and hacked to death by his neighbor in Barangay (village) Basak-Pardo, Cebu City, on Saturday afternoon.
Luisito Ybañez died of stab and hack wounds in the different parts of the body.
A suspect in the killing, Jose Abrazaldo, 32, surrendered to the police.
According to Senior Police Officer 4 Alex Dacua, of the homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office, an 18-inch bolo and a stainless 10-inch kitchen knife were recovered from the suspect.
The police said that the two had a drinking session on Friday where they got into an argument.
On Saturday afternoon, Ybañez went to the Abrazaldo house where they again figured in another heated argument.
During their argument, Abrazaldo took out a knife and a bolo and attacked Ybañez. /Correspondent Justin Anjuli K. Vestil
