BULAN, Sorsogon -- A fisherman was killed while another was injured when lightning struck them early Friday morning.
Henry Geocada, a companion of the victims, said five of them from Barangay (village) Octavi were out fishing when the lightning struck and killed Jesus Gipanao, 43, at around 3 a.m. off the shore of Barangay Namo here.
Their injured companion, Roberto Gernale, was brought to the Pantaleon Gotladera Memorial Hospital here.
Bulan is a first class municipality, 63 kilometers south of Sorsogon City.
