BAGUIO CITY -- A week after search and rescue operations for 16 missing miners trapped inside a flooded tunnel in Itogon, Benguet, started, the teams are left with one more miner to find after rescuers found two more bodies Thursday morning, authorities said.

The search teams, at about 3 a.m. Thursday, brought out of the tunnel the bodies of Marvin Himmayod and Joel Bulga.

The teams have continued searching for Joseph Anayasan on Thursday amid overcast skies and light rain in the area.

A body recovered on September 25 was mistakenly identified by an uncle and other relatives as belonging to Bulga. The body turned out to belong to Jojo Himmayod, after it was identified by his mother.

Rescuers have since recovered alive nine miners. Six bodies have been brought out of the tunnel and only one remains missing.
