CALAMBA CITY, Laguna -- Forty-one people were injured when a delivery truck carrying LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) tanks exploded in Carmona, Cavite on Saturday morning.
Senior Inspector Joselito Sisante, Carmona police chief, told the Inquirer by phone that the explosion happened inside the South Coast Industrial Estate in Barangay (village) Bangkal around 7:10 a.m.
The truck was supposed to deliver LPG tanks to factories inside the industrial park.
The explosion sparked a fire in a residential area adjacent to the industrial park.
Sisante said that 40 of the victims had minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital but one was still confined at the Pagamutang Bayan ng Carmona in Cavite.
