CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines—The police have launched a hunt for a Filipina suspected of stabbing to death a 66-year-old Japanese physical therapist in Bamban, Tarlac on Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Rudy Lacadin, Tarlac provincial director, said the suspect, Cora Tejano, has not been found yet.
The neighbors of the victim, Maasaki Kiuchi Hanawa, a native of Chiba, Japan, reported hearing him and Tejano in a shouting match last week.
Hanawa hired Tejano last week as a helper in his Shintai Kinsiho Body Balancing Clinic in the village of San Roque.
The victim bore several stab wounds in various parts of his body, investigators reported.
Robbery is seen as the motive. Hanawa’s clutch bag, which contains an undetermined amount of money, is missing, according to his secretary Elena Cristina Santos.
