MANILA, Philippines -- At least 12 survivors from the sea mishap off Romblon over the weekend during the onslaught of typhoon Frank (international codename: Fengshen) arrived in Cebu late Tuesday night, a radio report said Wednesday.
The report said 10 of the 12 were flown to the province via Philippine Airlines Flight 863, which landed at the Mactan International Airport at about 10 p.m.
Two others arrived via Superferry 12 early Wednesday.
The survivors were passengers of the MV Princess of the Stars that capsized off Romblon Saturday night as strong waves spawned by Frank battered the ship.
Meanwhile, a fatality also believed to be a passenger of the ill-fated vessel was brought to Cebu, the report said.
The survivors and the dead have yet to be identified as of posting time.
