MANILA, Philippines? Former Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynaldo Puno has been nominated for the ombudsman post to replace resigned Merciditas Gutierrez, a Radyo Inquirer report on Monday said.
Puno was endorsed by a Suzette-Curioso Pangan of the Station Church site.
On the initial list prepared by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC), Puno is listed as 14th of the 18 nominations submitted Monday, the report said.
Puno has not yet acknowledged the endorsement.
