MANILA, Philippines?Senators on Monday began its deliberations on the proposed P1.645-trillion budget next year.

Present at the hearing of the Senate finance committee were Budget Secretary Florencio ?Butch? Abad, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco Jr,, and National Economic Development Authority Director General Cayetano Paderanga Jr.

Also in attendance were Customs Commissioner Angelito Alvarez and Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henarez.
