MANILA, Philippines ? Pampanga Representative and former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is expected to show up at the session of the House of Representatives for the first time on August 2, her spokesperson said Friday.
Elena Bautista-Horn said the President was back in the country after accompanying her husband, Jose Miguel Arroyo, for check-up in Hong Kong last week.
Arroyo left on the eve of the first State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III, raising speculations she deliberately evaded being humiliated as Aquino made a litany of anomalies during her administration.
Horn said the couple would most likely return to Hong Kong for further check-ups.
?He has to go back to Hong Kong because there are certain equipment that he needs, Hong Kong is the nearest country that has that equipment,? she said.
Horn said she would remain spokesperson for Arroyo, who has remained elusive to the media.
