CALAMBA, LAGUNA, Philippines ?(UPDATE) Stars rained at the Nacionalista Party's kick off rally here on Tuesday.

ABS-CBN talents Yeng Constantino, Bugoy Drilon, April Boy Regino, Black Jack, and Lito Camo, performed several song numbers in between speeches of NP candidates.

GMA7 talent Raymond Gutierrez and Valerie Concepcion, another ABS-CBN talent, hosted the event.

Not to be outdone, senatorial bet Adel Tamano also belted out the song "Bakit Ngayon ka Lang?" after delivering a brief speech.

Most of NP's senatorial bets, in their speeches, reminded the crowd of what they did in the past or their past or present associations so they would be remembered.

Tamano, for instance, reminded the people that he was a lawyer of beauty expert Vicki Belo, when she got involved with her ex-boyfriend, Hayden Kho, in a video sex scandal.

Tamano's fellow senatorial bet, Gilbert Remulla, reminded the people that he was once a reporter of ABS-CBN.

But drawing the crowd's attention was NP's standard-bearer, Senator Manny Villar.

People here, specially, kids, would cheer and giggle every time they saw Villar while singing the senator's popular jingle in his political advertisement, "Naging Mahirap."
