MANILA, Philippines--Buluan Vice Mayor Esmael Mangudadatu said prefers not come face to face with the Ampatuans during the preliminary investigation for multiple murder at the Department of Justice scheduled this Friday.

"Tao lang ako. Hindi na lang ako haharap. Huwag na lang. Pinapaubaya ko na lang sa batas. Sana lumabas ang katotohanan (I am only human, I leave everything to the law. I hope the truth will come out)," Mangudadatu told reporters.

"I am hopeful that there will be a speedy disposition of the case," he added.

Mangudadatu appeared Monday at the Department of Justice (DoJ) for a preliminary investigation of a separate murder and multiple attempted murder case filed against him, Mayor Sajid Mangudadatu and several others.

His message to the Ampatuans: "You never should have done it. The truth will come out soon."

Datu Unsay mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. and other members of the rival Ampatuan political clan have been tagged as primary suspects in the Maguindanao massacre that killed at least 57 people, including dozens of journalists and Mangudadatu?s wife.

Ampatuan Jr. has been charged with multiple murder after surrendering himself to the government.

The DoJ has started security preparations for the Friday's preliminary investigation against more
than 100 suspects in the Maguindanao massacre.

Assistant Chief State Prosecutor Richard Anthony Fadullon said they have already issued subpoenas against the suspects including former Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan Sr., Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Governor Zaldy Ampatuan and Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr.

The DoJ will meet with officials of the Philippine National Police (PNP) for the security arrangements, Fadullon said.

Meanwhile, NBI's Anti-terrorism Division Chief Atty. Ric Diaz filed another set of multiple murder case against 20 people.

However, he said counter-checking must still be done if it is similar to the complaint filed by PNP-CIDG last week.
