MANILA, Philippines?State prosecutors have subpoenaed Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan, Sr. and five other members of the Ampatuan clan in connection with the Maguindanao massacre, Acting Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera said on Friday.
Aside from the Ampatuans, state lawyers also issued summonses to six others whom the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group implicated in the complaint for multiple murder filed with the Department of Justice on December 2.
?We have issued a subpoena for the cases that are under preliminary investigation and the hearing will be on December 18,? Devanadera told reporters. ?The preliminary investigation will be here (at the DOJ compound in Manila). Usually we do it in the morning.?
The objects of the PNP complaint lodged with the DOJ are Andal Ampatuan, Sr., Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan, Jr., Datu Ulo Ampatuan, Mamasapano Mayor Bahnarin Ampatuan, Salibo Vice Mayor Datu Kanor Ampatuan, Shariff Aguak police auxiliary Tony Kenis Ampatuan, Councilor Muhamad Sangki, Tammy Masukat, police auxiliary Tumi Timba Abas, PO1 Abbey Guiadem, a CVO member named Kumander Beri and a Cafgu member identified as Dahutay.
The police included them in the complaint in relation to the deaths of lawyers Catalino Oquendo and Cynthia Oquendo-Ayon, journalists Bong Reblando, Jepson Cadagdangon, Mac Gilbert Ariola and Francisco Subang, Jr.
