MANILA, Philippines?(UPDATE) Authorities are still looking for a fisherman who went missing after he and his companions rode a boat off Cagayan province before dawn Monday, police said.

Chief Superintendent Roberto Damian, Cagayan Valley regional director, said 14 of the 17 boats carrying 39 fishermen have returned after being reported missing earlier in Claveria town.

These boats left the town at 4 a.m. to head for Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte but were forced to return due to bad weather.

Damian said a certain Marvin Agarpao, 24, remained missing as of this time.

All of the other 38 fishermen returned safely, with Fabian Agarpao sustaining leg bruises.
