MANILA, Philippines?Philippine National Police Chief Jesus Verzosa has allayed fears of a possible terrorist attack in the metropolis following the two explosions that occurred in Metro Manila early Friday.
Citing results of the initial police investigation, Verzosa said there were no indications that the blasts in Quezon City and Pasig City were related.
According to Verzosa, the bombs used in both incidents were ?homemade pillbox? type which ?were not meant to kill or destroy installations.?
?Let us not panic on these (incidents),? he said in a press briefing at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
?We are looking at personal motives behind all of these. We are comparing ? the similarities of the two bombs with other small bombs that exploded a few months ago,? he added.
