MANILA, Philippines ? Thousands of residents of Quezon City's District 2 are complaining of slow and allegedly disorganized voter's registration process at the City Hall.

Charita Rosal, a resident of the village of Bagbag, District 2, said most of the prospective voters have been lining up since 4:30 a.m. but the Commission on Elections office at the City Hall only began processing at 9 a.m.

Other applicants were also complaining of the disorganized lines outside the Comelec office.

They added that no officer from the Comelec office has explained to them what was causing the delay.

Meanwhile, Jesus Abaya of the village of Gulod, District 2, said that he and his fellow registrants filed their voter's registration at their village hall last October 9 but Comelec officials scheduled to get their biometrics only today, October 27.

"Sayang pamasahe. May tumulong na nga lang sa amin na nagbigay ng pamasahe para makapag rehistro kami tapos ganito pa inabot namin. Hindi na kami makakabalik (What a waste in fare. Somebody just gave us fare money so that we could register, but this is what happened to us. We won?t be able to come back)," Abaya said.

In a separate interview, District 2 Election Officer lawyer Dinah Valencia apologized for the delay saying that her office has ?limited capacity? to process all registrants.

She added that her office can only accommodate 1,500 voters in a day but said she will try to process an additional 300 more registrants for Tuesday.
