Arroyo undergoes gynecological check-up

MANILA, Philippines -- President Gloria Macagapal-Arroyo went to the Asian Hospital in Muntinlupa on Monday morning in what her spokespersons said was a “regular medical check-up.”

Press Secretary Cerge Remonde announced Monday afternoon that Arroyo had her “annual gynecological check-up.”

Lorelei Fajardo, deputy presidential spokesperson, said the hospital visit was not necessarily connected to her departure for Japan on Wednesday.
