MANILA, Philippines – The quarantine over a hog farm in Pangasinan province has been lifted after no viral transmission of the ebola virus has been found among its pigs, Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap said.
But Yap told a briefing Monday that the Ebola Reston virus was found in a farm in Pandi, Bulacan where, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque, a “depopulation of pigs” would be undertaken.
Davinio Catbagan of the Bureau of Animal Industry said that about 6,000 pigs would be killed and burned from the Bulacan farm.
