MANILA, Philippines -- It will be the turn of anti-impeachment members at the House of Representatives to refute the charges against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo when the justice committee resumes hearing Tuesday.
The committee will determine if the complaint, the fourth against the President, is sufficient in substance and could be brought to the Senate for trial.
Monday's hearing, which focused on the "recital of facts" by the seven endorsers of the complaint, lasted close to five hours.
Albay Representative Edcel Lagman will deliver the introduction for the anti-impeachment lawmakers and will summarize their presentation.
The other presenters are Cavite Representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr., Maguindanao Representative Simeon Datumanong, Pasig Representative Roman Romulo, Negros Oriental Representative George Arnaiz, and Baguio City Representative Mauricio Domogan.
