MANILA, Philippines -- Senator Jose "Jinggoy" is keeping his position as Senate Pro-tempore.

This developed after Estrada announced his resignation at the start of the session Tuesday, was nominated anew by Senator Manuel “Mar” Roxas after Senate President Juan Ponce-Enrile declared the position vacant, and then reinstated in the absence of any objection.
