‘Whiff of fresh air’ in ‘asthma of corruption’

MANILA, Philippines -- Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr. congratulated Evangeline Lourdes ?Luli? Arroyo on her wedding, calling the President?s only daughter a ?whiff of fresh air that?moderates the asthma of corruption? in Malacañang.

The young Arroyo wed former investment banker J. Aloysius "Luigi" Bernas Wednesday in a private ceremony in Tagaytay City.

?Luli Arroyo deserves our congratulation on her wedding day,? Pimentel said. ?Quiet, dignified and human, she one Arroyo I feel the utmost respect for.?

?She is a whiff of fresh air that somehow moderates the asthma of corruption that overwhelms Malacañang,? he said.
