MANILA, Philippines -- Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr. congratulated Evangeline Lourdes “Luli” Arroyo on her wedding, calling the President’s only daughter a “whiff of fresh air that…moderates the asthma of corruption” in Malacañang.
The young Arroyo wed former investment banker J. Aloysius "Luigi" Bernas Wednesday in a private ceremony in Tagaytay City.
“Luli Arroyo deserves our congratulation on her wedding day,” Pimentel said. “Quiet, dignified and human, she one Arroyo I feel the utmost respect for.”
“She is a whiff of fresh air that somehow moderates the asthma of corruption that overwhelms Malacañang,” he said.
