MANILA, Philippines -- The cheaper medicines and baseline bills will be on top of the agenda of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council when it meets this Tuesday, with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo presiding, Malacañang said Monday.
LEDAC would also discuss monitoring efforts on the prices of rice and other basic commodities and distribution of rice, as well as the exemption from payment of taxes of minimum wage earners, and extension of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law, according to Palace Deputy Spokesperson Lorelei Fajardo.
At least 50 congressmen and nine senators confirmed attendance to the meeting, Fajardo said.
Congress resumed sessions Monday.
