MANILA, Philippines -- The security chief of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport had escorted the key witness in the Senate inquiry in the national broadband network controversy out of the NAIA, according to a photograph presented to the Senate by Senator Jose ?Jinggoy? Estrada.
Estrada presented the picture, along with several others, at the ongoing investigation of the Senate on the NBN imbroglio Friday as he questioned Rodolfo Lozada Jr. on his alleged abduction last Tuesday upon his arrival from Hong Kong.
The witness answered in the negative when Estrada asked Lozada whether he knew who his escorts were.
Estrada then said, ?Did you know Mr. Lozada that one of your escorts was retired General Angel Atutubo??
Atutubo denied involvement in the disappearance of Lozada and had taken a leave after the incident.
Lozada said he was taken to a Toyota Altis, which went around the airport before it went to Villamor, Calamba, and back to Libis in Quezon City, where he had dinner.
He said he was afraid because those who picked him up introduced neither themselves nor told him where they were going.
