MANILA, Philippines?Sixteen passengers of a commuter bus named Safeway suffered slight injuries when the vehicle collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero exiting a hospital on East Avenue in Quezon City at noon Saturday.
The still unidentified driver of the Safeway bus bound for Fairview fled the scene before traffic investigators arrived.
Traffic investigator Romero Rangas of the Quezon City Police District?s Traffic Enforcement Unit said the bus, with plate number QLP 246, was traveling on East Avenue going toward the Quezon Memorial Circle when it hit a Pajero exiting the East Avenue Medical Center.
While the driver of the Pajero, a certain Christopher Kenya, was unhurt, some 16 passengers of the bus were rushed to the EAMC for minor injuries such as scratches from broken glass.
The names of the injured passengers were still unavailable as of press time.
