MANILA, Philippines – There is no direct link between the explosions that rocked Quezon City and Mandaluyong City early Monday morning, the National Capital Region police office said as it allayed public fears over the blasts.
NCRPO Director Roberto Rosales said he has also instructed both the Quezon City Police District and the Eastern Police District to hasten the investigation to immediately identify those responsible behind the blasts.
Rosales also dismissed speculations that the blasts were caused by labor disputes in the two establishments.
The two explosions that rocked the two cities left no injuries.
The explosion in front of the building of San Miguel Corporation along the corner of Julia Vargas and San Miguel Avenues in Mandaluyong City occurred at 3:02 a.m. Post-blast investigation revealed that there were no components of any improvised explosive device (IED) recovered.
