MANILA, Philippines -- Ten domestic flights were cancelled at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday due to bad weather caused by tropical depression Pepeng that has been affecting the northern and western parts of the country.
The affected flights, mostly in the morning, were going to and coming from Cagayan and Palawan, according to the Manila International Airport Authority.
At the NAIA Terminals 2 and 3, a Philippine Airlines flight and a Cebu Pacific flight to Busuanga airport in Coron, Palawan, as well as their return flights, were cancelled at NAIA Terminal 2.
One PAL flight and one Cebu Pacific flight to Tuguegarao, Cagayan, and their return trips, were also cancelled.
At the old Manila Domestic Airport, a Zest Airways flight to Busuanga and its return trip to Manila, Z2-546 and Z2-547, were also cancelled.
At the NAIA Terminal 1, PAL flight PR-431 from Narita, Japan, which was supposed to arrive at around 1 p.m. was set to arrive at around 10 p.m. last night instead. Japan is being battered by Typhoon Melor.
A Thai Airways flight from Bangkok, Thailand set to arrive at 1:25 p.m., arrived at 7:30 p.m. instead. Its return flight was reset from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
