MANILA, Philippines?A former personal assistant of actress Jennylyn Mercado has asked a Quezon City court to dismiss the qualified theft charges filed against her by the actress.
In a motion for judicial determination of probable cause filed Thursday before Regional Trial Court Branch 77 Presiding Judge Vivencio Baclig, accused Rowena Pulmano sought for the dismissal of the case for lack of probable cause.
Pulmano alleged that the charge is ?a product of wild imagination and erroneous appreciation of facts and improper determination of the real issues involved.?
Mercado filed the case after Pulmano allegedly stole more than P500,000 by issuing checks without the actress? knowledge.
