MANILA—Irene Kho, the mother of cosmetic surgeon Hayden Kho, was again a no-show at the preliminary investigation on Thursday of the libel complaint filed against her by actress Katrina Halili.
The Quezon City prosecutor’s office gave Mrs. Kho, through her lawyer Paolo Pataja, who appeared on her behalf, seven more days to file her counter-affidavit to the complaint.
Halili earlier filed a libel complaint against Mrs. Kho for alleging in a television interview that she got her son into drugs.
The younger Kho and Halili are locked in a high-profile sex video scandal which sparked a multi-agency investigation into the proliferation of sex videos on the Internet.
