MANILA, Philippines—A short-lived twister or "ipo-ipo" hit a portion of Teachers' Village in Quezon City mid morning Thursday, toppling an electric post and breaking off tree branches.
Superintendent Oscar Palisoc, Anonas police station commander, said a house near Maginhawa and Magiting streets was also stripped of its roof because of the strong rains and winds which battered Metro Manila.
He said no one was reported hurt in both incidents.
No other details were available as of this posting.
