MANILA, Philippines?A group of fully armed men clad in police uniforms robbed a company teller who was about to deposit a bag of money at a next-door bank in Muntinlupa City Monday afternoon, police said.
In a phone interview Monday night, Senior Superintendent Elmer Jamias, Muntinlupa police chief, said the teller of MedAdvantage was accompanied by the company driver to the ground floor of Madrigal Building in Madrigal Business Park, Alabang, about 2 p.m. when around seven men declared a hold-up and took away the bag containing at least P3 million as earlier reported.
The teller was about to deposit the money with the Union Bank, which was just beside Madrigal Building.
But Jamias later said police were still uncertain how much money the robbers took from the teller.
The robbers, he said, were allowed by the security guards to enter the building as they presented themselves as members of the Philippine National Police.
Through the footage taken by the building?s CCTV camera, police have identified suspects whom they say belong to a certain Alvin Flores group.
?They are a notorious robbery hold-up group in other areas,? Jamias said.
