MANILA, Philippines -- Classes in public and private elementary and high schools in Muntinlupa City have been suspended, Mayor Aldrin San Pedro announced.

In a live interview, San Pedro said Tuesday afternoon?s downpour prompted him to declare a suspension of classes as floodwaters began to rise in parts of the city.
