MANILA, Philippines -- The House of Representatives has condemned the ambush-slaying of a staff of Compostela Valley Representative Manuel "Way Kurat" Zamora, calling it a "cowardly act and a clear disregard for human life."
Roberto Delano, Zamora's chief of staff, was gunned down by unidentified men Wednesday morning in Quezon City and died at the Delgado hospital in the area.
Speaker Prospero Nograles called on police to hunt down the killers.
"I am confident that the Philippine National Police and other concerned law enforcement and investigative agencies will immediately serve justice to whom it is due," he said in a statement.
