MANILA, Philippines -- Police shot dead two suspected robbers who held up the passengers of an FX cab in Las Piñas City Monday morning, an official said.
Chief of police Superintendent John Sosito said their intelligence operatives were tipped off about a group of robbers on three motorcycles along the Alabang-Zapote road late Monday morning.
Sosito said the suspects, who were forced to hold hostage some of the passengers, exchanged gunfire with the police.
"We've ? neutralized the suspects," Sosito said.
