MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) gave P2.022 million to three informants who made possible the successful dismantling of two ?shabu? (methamphetamine hydrochloride) laboratories and the arrest of illegal drug operators.

?Bentot,? who was awarded P22,100, provided information that led to the eventual arrest of a Chinese national last March 29. PDEA agents recovered 226.80 grams of ?shabu? in a buy-bust operation in Tambacan Street corner Tetuan Street, Plaza Sta. Cruz, Sta. Cruz Manila.
?Trojan? provided the information that led to the dismantling of a ?small-scale 'shabu' laboratory? in Binondo, Manila last June 2 during which police arrested a Chinese national and seized more or less 12 grams of ?shabu? from the laboratory. The information received P500,000.
?Bea? was given P1.5 million for providing information that led to the dismantling of a ?large-scale 'shabu' laboratory? in Real, Quezon last July 16. ?Bea's? information also led to the arrest of five foreign nationals who allegedly operated the ?shabu? laboratory.
