Motorists told to seek alternate routes in Malate on Sunday

MANILA -- The National Capital Region Police Office is advising motorists to take alternate routes in anticipation of the Alay Lakad sa Kabataan and the bar examinations on Sunday.
In an advisory, the NCRPO said the following roads will be closed beginning 4:30 a.m.: the north and southbound lanes of Roxas Boulevard from Anda Circle to Quirino Avenue; east and westbound lanes of P. Burgos Street from Roxas Blvd to Ma. Orosa; east and westbound lanes of TM Kalaw from Roxas Blvd to Del Pilar; Katigbak Drive, South Drive, Independence Road, P. Burgos Service Road corner Lagusnilad, and Ayala corner Finance Road.
The NCRPO advised all motorists traveling north on Roxas Blvd. to turn right at P. Ocampo or Quirino Ave., and make a left on Taft Ave. to their destination.
Public utility vehicles on A. Mabini St can turn right to P. Gil St, or may choose to turn right on TM Kalaw and turn left on Taft Ave to their destination.
Motorists going south from Del Pan Bridge can go through A. Soriano St, right on Magallanes Drive and turn right on P. Burgos St to Taft Ave.
All vehicles coming from the three bridges -- Quezon, McArthur and Jones Bridge -- going south can take Taft Ave to their destination.
Motorists from Ayala Boulevard can make a left or right turn to Taft Avenue to their destination.
Public utility vehicles coming from Quezon, McArthur, and Jones Bridges bound for the South Harbor can take A. Soriano St. and make a right on Gen Luna St., another left on Muralla St., a right turn at Victoria St and turn right on P. Burgos to their destination.
