MANILA, Philippines -- The Department of Education (DepEd) announced the suspension of classes on Friday due to high tide in the following schools in the Division of Malabon and Navotas (Division 1): Ramon Camus Elementary School Dela Paz Elementary School Dampalit Elementary School Navotas Elementary School Tañong Annex – Malabon National High School Navotas National High School Tangos National High School
Classes in Malabon and Navotas are automatically suspended during high tide because these areas become flooded, DedEd regional director for NCR Teresita Domalanta said in a statement.
The suspension has already been announced locally and all students have been informed, the DepEd said.
It said that, despite the frequent suspension of classes due to the tide, schools in the area still achieve the required number of “contact days” in school.
