MANILA, Philippines -- The Marikina city health office and the vice mayor’s office are offering free circumcisions to male residents 9 years old and above every Wednesday and Thursday this month.
According to an announcement from the city’s public information office, the circumcision clinic will be open on those two days every week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Session Hall, Justice Building.
Fifteen doctors perform the operation, which costs P600 to P1,500 in private clinics.
The activity is an annual summer project by the local government and since its launch last April, about 300 male residents have availed of the free service.
Those interested are advised to register at the city’s village health centers.
